After Kalinga war Ashoka renderd his services to the welfare of people
According to Rock edict 13 nearly 1lak people dead.so this made Ashoka to realize and decided to follow the law of Dhamma
For better implementation of dhama
1) Ashoka gave up hunting
2) stopped meat eating nd wars
3)He engraved principles of dhamma on rock pillars so that people can read
4) appointed Dhamma mahamatyas for better implementation of law of dhamma
