Male reproductive organs in humans are the testes and penis. The testes produce a hormone called testestrone. Testosterone helps in the production of sperm (also called male gamete). There are two types of chromosomes in a sperm cell, X and Y. A single sperm cell only contain either the  X chromosome or the Y chromosome.  The female gamete/ovum only contain the X chromosome. If a X chromosome from sperm fuses with the female gamete, a female zygote is formed. If a Y chromosome from sperm fuses with the female gamete, a male zygote is formed.
