Maxwell's right hand thumb rule says that if you hold a straight current carrying wire in the way that your thumb is in the direction of current, than the direction in which your fingers encircle the wire gives the direction of Magnetic field.

It states if u hold the conductor in your right hand such that the thin indicates the direction of current then the circles up finger s give us the direction of magnetic field.
Note : current is taken opp to the flow of electrons
