Five kingdom classification is a system of classification of living organisms in which they are divided into five kingdoms. It was proposed by R.H. Whittaker in 1969. Since the two kingdom classification given by Linnaeus was inadequate to classify many organisms, so this system of classification was proposed which classify organisms into following 5 kingdoms :
Kingdom Monera Unicellular prokaryotes
Kingdom Protista Simple cellular eukaryotes
Kingdom Fungi Multicellular saprotrophs
Kingdom Plantae All multicellular autotrophs
Kingdom Animalia All multicellular heterotrophs
hope it helps..✌
