First in the question it is given that the remainder is equal to x-a
REMAiNDER that we got is (2k-9)x-(8-k)k+10
On comparing their coefficient we have
by our remainder we will first find the value of x
2k-9=x
2k-9=1
2k=10
k=5
Then the value of a we have find then by putting k=5 in -(8-k)k+10we will get
a=-(8-5)5+10
a=-3×5+10
a=-15+10
a=-5
Hence the value of k=5
and the value of a=-5
