Apogamy is a type of plant reproduction in which sporophyte (diploid phase) is produced from the gametophyte (haploid phase) without fertilization. It occurs in some type of ferns.Apospory is the development of gametophyte directly from sporophyte without formation of spores. It is also seen in mosses and ferns.
