A clause is a group of words that contains a subject and a predict.
It also has a meaning

There are three types of clauses :-------

1. Independent Clause
2. Dependent Clause
3. Relative Clause

INDEPENDENT CLAUSE - is also called main clause. It can stand on its own because it contains all the necessary information.

DEPENDENT CLAUSE - is also called Subordinate Clause. It cannot stand on its own because it doesn't contains all the necessary information.

RELATIVE CLAUSE - is a clause begins with a relative pronoun. Eg - Who,Whom, Those etc.....

Hope that helps ☺☺
