Explanation:

Plants contain a green coloured pigment called chloroplast which helps the plant to make food. The plant needs the following essential conditions to make food:- 1. Sunlight should be present. 2.Enough water. 3. Presence of Carbon dioxide.

The food is only made in the leaves and then it is transported to other parts of plants via phloem and xylem. Phloem carries food and water both while xylem carries only water.

These transportation of food inside a plant is known as 'translocation'.
