Consumers are classified into three types . Primary consumers ,Secondary consumers, Territory consumers. Primary consumers : Are herbivores, feeding on plants such a caterpillars,termites, insects etc Secondary consumers : Are carnivores, they prey on the other animals such as rats , and small creatures and they feed on both plants and animals. Territory consumers: Are apex predators they are usually on the top of food chain capable of feeding secondary and primaryconsumers .They can be either fully carnivorus or omnivorus . Humans are also an example of territory consumers. Primary producers are organisms that acquire energy from sunlight and materials such as non-living resources. Consumers : An living thing that cannot prepare it's own food and must eat plants or other animals for energy.
