Based on his experiments,Mendel proposed three laws or principles of inheritance:
a)Law of Dominance=According to this law, characters are controlled by discrete units called factors, which occur in pairs with one member of the pair dominating over the other in a dissimilar pair...

b)Law of segregation=This law states that the two alleles of a pair seperate during gamete formation such that a gamete receives only one of the two factors..

c)law of independent assortment=when two pairs are combined in a hybrid, one pair od the character segregates independent of the other pair of character..

hope this will help you...

Mendel performed a number of experiments on the garden pea plants.
He crossed the plants having different characters
For example: for height he used two types of plants one being tall and other being dwarf.
His first experiment is called monohybrid cross in which he dealed with pea plants having with one character
and other is called dihybrid cross in which he dealed with pea plants having two characters.
In his first experiment he all tall plants in F1 generation.
and one fourth plants dwarf in F2 generation.
