Explain me the process of chlor alkali for a 10th class student?

Answer:

when electricity is passed through alkaline solution of NaCl then this process is called chit alkali process because formation of chlorine(Cl2) takes place and alkaline solution of (NaOH) sodium hydroxide takes place
