study of progressive development change which occur after zygote formation up to an organism is formed

Comparative study of embryonic developmenatal stages of various verteberats shows extreme similarity in their initial stages and those similarities decrease gradualy. Similaties in intial stage indicates the the common origin of those animals. This is called as embryology.
