Mean free path

In physics, mean free path is defined as the average distance travelled by the gas molecule between successive impacts or collisions.

The mean free path of a particle moving in a space with some obstructions / resistances is the distance travelled by it between any 2 consecutive collisions.

For example, the distance travelled by an electron (moving in a conductor) between two of its collisions with fixed positive charges of the conductor is known as its mean free path.

Hope this may help you and be the brainliest !!
