Explanation:
Exchange of gases take place in plants through stomata pores. Plants take carbon dioxide gas during day time to perform their photosynthesis process . The oxygen gas which is released during photosynthesis process is used by plants in a small amount for their respiration

The plants mainly exchange gases through the stomata, that is found in the green plants. These stomata's are mainly found on the underside of the leaf. However in woody plants, the plants exchange gases through Lenticels.
When the concentration of oxygen is larger in proportion outside the plant, then the stomata's are opened by the guard celis and the air is rushed in.
