Explanation:

1. Buccal cavity (mouth) : here the digestion occurs in first place .Here food is mixed with saliva secreted by salivary glands . The saliva breaks down sugars into simpler digestable molecules.

2. Oesophagus (Food pipe): It is a pipe where the chewed food is taken down to the stomach .

3. Stomach : It consists of hydrochloric acid which kills all bacteria present in the food and forms a thick slurry called chyme .

4. Small intestine : Here all nutrients are absorbed by finger-like projections called villi . Villi is surrounded by blood vessels where nutrients get absorbed .

5. Large intestine : Here exess water from the chyme is absorbed and is thrown out of the body by anus as faeces.
