# LAWS OF MENDEL #


Mendel gave three laws . Consists of :-

1 ) Law of Segregation
2 ) Law of Assortment
3 ) Law of dominance


Now , explanation .


1 ) Law of segregation :-

This law states that after fusion when pairing of alleles or genes takes place , at first pairs of genes of parents get separated to form the new pair of genes in the progeny .


2 ) Law of assortment :-

After the segregation of allele or genes , the allele or genes which have similar character , they get paired or grouped together . This law is known as Law of assortment .


3 ) Law of dominance :-

According to this law , the trait or the allele which is dominant shows the influence in the progeny .


These are the laws of Mendel .
