it is due to rupturing of endometrium wall present in uterus.

several hormonal fluctuations occurred in female primates like of FSH and LH.

Every month an egg is released from one of the ovaries.The uterus prepares itself to recieve the fertilised egg by forming a thick lining on the uterine wall.In case the egg does not gets fertilised, this lining sheds off.It causes bleeding in women through the vagina.This is known as menstruation.

•Menstrual cycle is also called Menstruation, Periods, Chums and Menses.

•It lasts for about 2-7 days.

•It occurs once in about 28 days.

•It starts at the age of around 12-15 which is termed as menarche.

Menstruation stops after an age of 45-50, which is termed as menopause.

•Women experience painful cramps during periods :(

•Women use sanitary pads, menstrual cup, tampons etc during their periods.
