Answer:

The menstrual cycle is complex and controlled by many different glands and the hormones that these glands produce.

The four phases of the menstrual cycle are menstruation, the follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase.

Common menstrual problems include heavy or painful periods and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Knowing when in the menstrual cycle a woman is most likely to conceive can increase the chance of pregnancy.

Answer:

it's just like a water cycle but instead of water, blood is gushing from the vagina and is controlled by several hormones like LH, FSH, oestrogen, progesterone

firstly this cycle occurs when a female is in her teens

the follicle starts maturing and develops one egg each month

there are two follicles but only one will be active at a time

egg is released from the ovary during the period of ovulation and its passed to the oviduct.

the egg is non motile (cannot move on its own), so there are small finger like projections on the surface of the duct which helps the egg to slide

the egg can fertilise at this time if a sexual intercourse has taken place

if it doesn't gets fertilized it moves forward and is released out of the vagina as the blood from the endometrium sheds.

this cycle continues until the egg gets fertilized
