It is, however, important to understand which interventions are in harmony with and which are contrary to nature, which hives are more adapted to nature and which are rather designed for the beekeeper’s comfort. A beekeeper must know as well as be able to assess and take responsibility for the benefits and risks of unnatural interventions.
