[1/f=1/v+1/u]mirror formula

m=-v/u

for concave mirror f=-ve,u=-ve and for convex mirror u=-ve rest are postive

bro the distance is measured from the pole. if you travel in the direction of incident ray the sign will be positive and if you travel in the opposite direction of incident ray the sign will be negative all you need to do is just be careful about the direction of the incident ray.

f is Focus where all the rays meet U is the distance of object from the pole and V is the distance of image from the pole

in the image you can see the incident rays travelling from left to right so first let's measure U. first you need to go to the pole and see where is U in the image. from the pole U is towards left of the pole so hence you can see that we are travelling in opposite direction of the incident rays, the incidents rays are travelling from left to right but for measuring U we are travelling from right to left so we will take U as negative.

for measuring, as V is located toward right from the pole. we will travel towards right from the pole and as you can see this direction will be in the same direction as the incident rays that is from left to right so we will take this distance as positive

the magnification is

 - {v \div u}

all you need to do is put the values of V and u in this formula but be careful about the sign convention of V and u

as you can see I put a lot of effort in explaining this question to you so don't forget to mark my answer the brainliest If this helps you
