hey!!!

here us ur answer!!

===================================

lens formula : 1 /v - 1/ u = 1/ f...

where,

u = distance of image of lens
v = distance of object of lens
f = focal length of lens

It is same for both converging and diverging lens..

For convex lens : distance of object(u) will be taken as negative, focal length (f) as positive and image distance (v) as positive from the optical centre.

For concave lens : the distance of object (u) will be taken as negative, the focal length also be negative and the image distance also negative...

............................................................

Hope this helps u!!
