MITOSIS:
A German biologist Walther Flemming observed a dividing cell.
Mitosis is the process in which the cell divides into two daughter cells. The chromosome number in each cell is 46.
It occurs in the somatic cell.
Mitosis takes place in a eukaryotic cell(eukaryotes refers to organisms having nucleus and other organelles).
STAGES OF MITOSIS:
Mitosis has two main stages,they are;
1)Karyokinesis.
2)Cytokinesis.

Mitosis is important for life because it promotes the development of new cells and the replacement of unhelpful or worn-out cells.

Explanation:

  • Mitosis is the process by which a cell copies or reproduces two genetically similar daughter cells.
  • Strictly speaking, the word mitosis is used to report the copying and sharing or distribution of chromosomes, the structures of mitosis that can carry genetic information.
  • Before the genesis of mitosis, the chromosomes are replicated and also the proteins that conjure the mitotic cycle are synthesized.
  • Mitosis begins at an early stage with the thickening and curling of chromosomes. The nucleolus shrinks into a rounded structure.
  • The result of the prophase is represented by the start of a spiral and therefore the creation of a bunch of fibers that structure the atomic membrane decay.
  • Chromosomes, each a dual structure of dual chromosomes, lined up with the intermediate of the cell in the metaphase.
  • In anabase, each chromatid pair is split into two identical chromosomes, they are pulled to adverse termination of the cell by spiral filaments.
  • During telobase, chromosomes begin to disintegrate, the vortex breaks, and atomic membranes and nucleoli regenerate.
  • The cytoplasm of the cell divide to make two similar daughter cells, each is an identification number and kind of chromosomes because of the cell.
  • The phase or stage, after mitosis is complete is called the intermediate phase or interphase.
