periodic law. Also called Mendeleev's law. (originally) the statement that the chemical and physical properties of the elements recur periodically when the elements are arranged in the order of their atomic weights.

Here′s the answer

Modern Periodic Law

✌️✔️In the year 1913 A.D, An English scientist Henry Moseley demonstrated, with the help of experiments done using X-ray tube , that the atomic number ( Z ) of an element corresponds to the positive charge on the nucleus or the number of the protons in the nucleus of an atom.

✌️✔️This revealed that "Atomic number" is a more fundamental property of an element than it's atomic mass.

✌️✔️Thus, Accordingly, the statement of the modern periodic law was stated as follows :-

✌️✔️" Properties of elements are a periodic function of the atomic numbers. "

Modern Periodic Table

✌️✔️Classification of elements resulting from an arrangement of the elements in an increasing order of their atomic numbers is the Modern Periodic Table.

✌️✔️Properties of the elements can be predicted more accurately with the help of the modern periodic table formed on the basis of atomic numbers. The modern Periodic Table is also called the long form of the periodic table.

✌️✔️Modern Periodic Table contains Seven horizontal rows called the periods 1 to 7.
Similarly, the eighteen vertical colomns in this table are the groups 1 to 18.

✌️✔️Apart from these seven rows , two rows are shown separately at the bottom of periodic table. These are called Lanthanides series and actinide series respectively.

✌️✔️There are 118 boxes in the periodic table which means there are 118 places for elements in the modern periodic table.

This is what the modern periodic table is.
