explain multi purpose river valley projects


manasiriya2003: Multipurpose river valley projects are also known as dams they are constructed so that water can be stored for a temporary purpose and can be used during any water scarcity.
manasiriya2003: Moreover dams are known as multipurpose river valley project because they are used for different purposes like for producing electricity from hydroelectric power ,for tourist purposes, fishing ,a barrier to a flowing water during floods which can protect the nearby places from this natural calamity water ,from the dams was applied to the nearby towns and villages or carrying out practices like agriculture etc
