1) PAN -

Personal Area Network also known as HAN ( Home area Network)

it is a smallest network

network for personal use between two or more people but in a small range

example :- bluetooth and wifi ( wireless fiderility )

2) LAN -

Local Area Network also known as CAN ( campus Area Network )

it has high speed transmission

less changes to drop siginal or we can also say error rate is very low

example :- connection of network in a campus

3) MAN -

Metropolitan Area Network

in short it is a collection of LAN

speed of transmission is less then LAN but more then WAN

example :- connection in a town or in a state

4) WAN -

Wide Area Network

it is a collection of MAN

it has low speed transmission

error rate is very high

example :- Internet
