the rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the net force applied on the object,in the direction of net force

According to the Newton's second law of motion,the rate of change of momentum (mass * velocity) is directly proportional to the external force applied in a body
and kg m/s square = newton
one newton is that much force which produces acceleration(change in velocity) of 1m/s square in a body of 1 kg
