newton first law of motion states that a body at rest will remain at rest and a body in motion will remain in motion in a straight line with a uniform speed until an external force act on it to change the state of rest or the state of motion.

Newton make three laws of motion.

Newton's First Law :-

An object at rest remains at rest, an object in uniform motion remains in the uniform motion until or unless the external force is applied on it.

Another name of this law is Law of Inertia.
