Newton's laws of motion:
Newton's First Law of motion:
A body continues to be in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless it us compelled by some external applied force to change that state.
- A body at rest will remain at rest unless some external force acts on it to change it's state of rest .
- A body at rest will remain at rest unless some external force acts on it to change it's state of rest .A body in uniform motion continues to move uniformly in a straight line unless some external forces acts on it to change its state of motion.
- A body at rest will remain at rest unless some external force acts on it to change it's state of rest .A body in uniform motion continues to move uniformly in a straight line unless some external forces acts on it to change its state of motion.A body continues to move along the same straight line unless some external force acts on it to change its direction.
Newton's First Law of motion defines inertia : The inherent property of a body by virtue of which it resists any change in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line on its own is called inertia.
Example :
- A passenger in a bus tends to fall backward when the bus starts suddenly.

Newton's second Law of motion:
The force needed to stop a body is Directly proportional to its mass and its velocity. This gives us the term known as momentum.
Example :
- A karate player breaks a pile of tiles

Newton's Third Law of motion :
To every action , there is an equal and opposite reaction; action and reaction forces acts on different bodies.
Example :
- A gun recoils when a shot is fired from it.
