His third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. In other words, if object A exerts a force on object B, then object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on object A.
Other examples of Newton's third law are easy to find:
1. As a professor paces in front of a whiteboard, he exerts a force backward on the floor.
2. A car accelerates forward because the ground pushes forward on the drive wheels, in reaction to the drive wheels pushing backward on the ground.
