Answer:
Nocturnality in Bat and Earthworm is the process by which both the organisms are active during the nights.
Explanation:
Nocturnality refers to the type of behavior that the animal shows by being active during the night.
Both bats and earthworms are active during the night. Thus, they are referred to as nocturnal animals. This type of behavior the animals have adapted to have a better survival rate. During the night the competition rate is lesser as compared to that during the day. Thus, for their own survivability, the organisms have adapted to this form of living. For being able to thrive during the night, the organisms are provided with highly developed senses such as smell or hearing and also special eyesight.
Both bats and earthworm spend their daytime resting in their respective places. Bats rest in dark places such as caves or abandoned houses and trees. And earthworms dig burrows and spend their daytime eating dirt. While nighttime they become active in traveling from one place to another for different activities such as feeding, breeding, and finding shelter.
Thus, both bats and earthworms are nocturnal in nature.
