NON COOPERATION MOVEMENT:non cooperation movement was a sig nificant phase of the Indian struggle for freedom from british rule.It was led by the M.Gandhi and was supposed by the Indian National Congress after Jallianwala Bagh incident .Gandhi G started Non cooperation movement it aimed to resist British occupation in India through non violent means .protestors were refuse to buy british goods adopted to use of local handicrafts .The idea of Ahimsa and his ability to rally movement through the summer of 1920 they feared the movement might lead to popular violence.
The things changed suddenly went out of the hands when the mob in Chaura -Chaura at Gorakh pur district in U.P set police station on fire and killed 22 police men alive .It lead to the immediate suspension of the movement by Gandhi G.
