Hey friend here is your answer.....
just like an adjective clause works as an adjective or noun clause works as noun noun clauses may be identified by asking who, what or whom .
Eg:
The little boy understood what his teacher said
I do not know if Rahul will attend the wedding.
A noun class can work as
❄ An object :
I remember what you said to me the other day.
❄A subject :
What she does is none of my business
❄ As a complement :
The fact is that she sings well .
Hope it helps you......
