Hii There!!

NUTRITION IN "AMOEBA" :-

◆Amoeba is of Holozoic Type , this means that the food is engulfed by the amoeba and the process is called "Phagocytosis".

◆When Amoeba cell comes in the contact with any food particle it surrounds the food with the help of Pseudopodia and digests the food inside a food vacuole and thus, nutrients are absorbed.

For diagram you can refer to your NCERT SCIENCE BOOK CLASS 10TH , chapter life processes.

Hope it helps

\bf\underline\red{Nutrition\:in\:Amoeba}

▶Amoeba is a microscopic, unicellular, organism which feeds on small microscopic organisms. ▶When Amoeba comes in contact with food, it produces pseudopodia[false feet of amoeba] around the food particle.

▶As the cell membranes of the pseudopodia fuse the food gets trapped in a food vacuole. ▶Digestive juices are secreted into this vacuole.

▶The digested food is absorbed and used for production of energy, movement and maintainance of the organism.

▶The undigested food, present in the food vacuole, is expelled, from the Amoeba, by the process of the egestion.
