If resistivity and conductivity of a metal is independent of applied electric field then such type of material is known as ohmic material and follow Ohm's law.

Ohm's law:-

if physical conditions of the conductor (length, temp) remains same then the current flowing through the conductor is directly proportion to the applied voltage.

Ohm's law -"The potential difference between the ends of a conductor is directly proportional to the electric current passing through it at constant temperature"
V-potential difference; I- current passing
V/I=constant
This constant is called Resistance
V/I=R
V=IR
