The stomata is surrounded by two guard cells, controlling it's opening and closing. Stomata opens when required, during gaseous exchange. Takes in COâ‚‚ and gives out oxygen. Also releases water vapours during transpiration.

Answer:

Explanation:

As we know stomata are the tiny pores present on the surface of the leaves.stomata runs the process of transpiration, which leads to loss of large amount of water.the opening and the closing of the pore is a function of the guard cells.the guard cells swell when water flows into them, causing the stomatal pore to open.similarly the pore closes if the guard cells shrink.
