Operating systems are an important type of System Software. Without this it can not be imagined to take work from a computer. It flows the signal from the CPU to different parts of the computer. When we switch on our computer, this program is stored in the computer's memory.

The operating system acts as a link between the Computer and theUser, which is called the Interface. "The main function of the operating system is to get instructions from the user and follow them to the hardware".

It also helps in the implementation of other programs. Through this, the process of distributing computer resources such as CPU, Memory, Hard Disk etc., is done to divide between more than one user or more than one program.
