Original Jurisdiction

  • is the power to hear and determine a dispute in the first instance....the cases which can't be moved to any other then of Supreme Court.

Center-State or Inter-State Disputes:

  • The Supreme Court has given exclusive original jurisdiction in:-
  1. Government of India and one or more States.
  2. between 2 or more States.

Protection of Fundamental Rights

  • The fundamental rights are protected on the hands of Original Jurisdiction also extends to cases of violation of the Rights.
