Osmosis:
☆Osmosis is the movement of water in a semipermeable membrane from a high concentration to a low concentration.
Diffusion:
☆Movement of materials such as nutrients, minerals etc.. in and out of the membrane is called diffusion.

Diffusion: the movement of molecules or ions of a solute or solvent be it is a solid liquid and gas from the region of high concentration to lower concentration
diffusion continues until dynamic equilibrium is obtained at this point the solute particles becomes equal on both sides
Osmosis: The process of movement of solbent particles from a region of high con to low conc..e.g when animal cell is placed in hypotonic solution the water from outside goes into the cell which causes the cell to dillute through osmosis
