⏩Ovum
All sexually reproducing organisms make sex cells called gametes. The gamete, produced by the female is called the egg or ovum (plural = ova). It joins with the sperm, the male gamete, during fertilization to form the embryo, which will eventually grow into a new organism.
⏩Ovary
The female gonad, one of a pair of reproductive glands in women. The ovaries are located in the pelvis, one on each side of the uterus. Each ovary is about the size and shape of an almond. The ovaries produce eggs (ova) and female hormones.
⏩Ovule
The part of the ovary of seed plants that contains the female germ cell and after fertilization becomes the seed.
