it is a layer  present in the atmosphere of the earth .  it protects us from the harmful rays emitted by sun from reaching the earth's surface . one of the main harmful rays are the uv rays ( ultra-violet ).uv rays cuases skin cancer if comes in contact with the skin . but nowadays due to pollution the ozone layer is getting depleted anfd formed holes in it.
