(1) It Is a group of computers connected together so that users can share resources and information.
Following are the types of peer-to-peer networks:
(i) Unstructured
(ii) Structured
(iii) Hybrid
Advantages of Peer-to-peer Networking:
(i) Less complexity
(ii) Easier to set up
(iii) Independent work of computers. If One computer fails,then rest of them still continue to work.
Disadvantages:
(i) Lack of centralized control
(ii) Not scalable
(iii) Viruses can be easily transmitted.
Examples of peer-to-peer networks: Skype.
