☯ AnSwEr :

The word “photography” literally means “ drawing with light”. The word was supposedly first coined by the British scientist Sir John Herschel. Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera, usually via a digital sensor or film, to create an image. Photograph is an image created by light falling on a photosensitive surface, usually photographic film or an electronic image sensor. The First Photograph, or more specifically, the earliest known surviving photograph made in a camera, was taken by Joseph in 1826 or 1827. Around 1717 Johann Heinrich Schulze captured cut-out letters on a bottle of a light-sensitive slurry, but he apparently never thought of making the results durable. Around 1800 Thomas Wedgwood made the first reliably documented, although unsuccessful attempt at capturing camera images in permanent form.
