PHOTOTROPISM----------------------

The response of a plant to light is called phototropism .If the plant part moves towards light is called positive phototropism .On other hand,if the plant part moves away from light then it is called negative phototropism .The stem of a growing plant bends towards light show the stem of a plant shows positive phototropism .And the roots of a plant move away from light show the roots of a plant show negative phototropism .

GEOTROPISM------------------------

The response of a plant to gravity is called geotropism .The roots of a plant move downwards in the direction of gravity the roots of a plant show positive geotropism ,the stem of a plant moves upward against the direction of gravity to the stem of a plant shows negative geotropism .
