plants and animals are all renewable resources, as long as they are adequately monitored, protected and conserved. Sustainable agriculture is the cultivation of plant and animal materials in a manner that preserves plant and animal ecosystems over the long term.

Renewable sources are those that are replenished naturally over shorter periods of time. Plants and animals are considered as renewable sources until and unless they are sufficiently monitored , sheltered and conserved. For example trees used for timber and food crops can be regrown and re-used after they are cultivated. Similarly animals are also renewable resources because you can breed them to grow more.
