Answer:
The use of land is determined both by physical factors such as topography, climate, soil types as well as human factors such as population density, technological capability and culture and traditions etc.
topography- it refers to the physical features, that is mountains, plains, plateaus, etc .
climate- it refers to the average weather of a particular region. eg: A place will have a cold climate if it is on a mountain.
soil types- It also depends on the type of soil, because a plant like cotton can only be grown well in black soil.
population density-It depends on the number of people living in the region as well so there can be more or less maintenance for a plant.
technological capabilities- If the technological capability of a place is high, then the crops can be grown in great ease. Like a sandy soil can also be grown to grow crops with technology like sprinklers.
culture/traditions- It also depends on this factor because of the type of crops that are consumed a lot in that region according to their culture.
