→ As you know DNA is digested with different types of endonuclease such EcoRI 1 , Ecori 2, Bam 1...etc for gel electrophoresis.

→ These digesting enzymes cuts the DNA with different sequence, having different molecular weight, fragment length .

→ As you know DNA is negatively charged , in gel electrophoresis plate...all those fragments are placed towards negative terminal...at same position.

→ as they are negativity charged ..,it gets attracted towards positive charge of plate.

→ The Dna fragments having low molecular weight can travel long distance as compared to the DNA fragments having high molecular weight.
