Political Parties:- A group of people who contest elections and hold

positions in the government is called a Political Party. They agree on some

policies and programs for the society with a view to promote collective

good.

A party has 3 main components :-

(i) Leaders:- They popularise the ideology and philosophy of the party.

(ii) Active Members:- They look after the party organisation. They bring the

followers.

(iii) Followers:- They mobilise public for rallies, public meetings, protest and

bring party to power.
