Water Pollination. Pollen can also float on the water's surface drifting until it contacts flowers. This is called surface hydrophily and is relatively rare. This water-aided pollination occurs in waterweeds and pondweeds.

Water pollination is called Hydrophilly
Water pollinated plants are aquatic and pollen is released into water. Water currents therefore act as a pollen vector in similar way to wind currents. Their flowers tend to be small and inconspicuous with lots of pollen grains amd large, feathery stigmas to catch the pollen.
Water pollination occurs when pollen drifts on water in rivers, lakes, ponds etc. and comes in contact with flowers directly.
