Examples of abiotic factors include water, temperature, pH, salinity and light intensity. Within an ecosystem, there are interactions between the biotic factors and between the biotic and abiotic factors. Animals depend on trees and plants. ... Plants can get nutrients from the soil through their roots.

In pond ecosystem,

It consists of fishes and other aquatic life forms.

All the living organism including the fishes and other aquatic life forms are biotic components.

Also the pond consists of water, Rock, soil ect.

All the non living things including the water, rocks, Soil are abiotic components.

Both the biotic and abiotic components result in the formation of a pond.

So that the both are biotic and abiotic components are needed to balance an ecosystem.
