Pre-eclampsia is a medical condition that occurs during pregnancy when the mother experiences high blood pressure (hypertension), s and protein in the urine (proteinuria). Formerly called toxemia, it is detected after 20 weeks of gestation. Common symptoms are stomach pain, headaches, trouble inbreathing, seizures, or visual disturbance and increased anxiety.
If not timely recognized and managed, pre-eclampsia  develop furthermore into a severe condition called eclampsia. It is determined if one or more seizures occur during the time or even after pregnancy. It is a rare condition but is curable with proper medical intervention. If left untreated, it may result in brain damage, coma, or life-threatening pregnancy complications.
